A 36-year-old special agent working in the FBI’s Houston Field Office was indicted Wednesday for allegedly stealing money and valuables from multiple homes during the execution of search warrants.
Nicholas Anthony Williams was arrested and charged with theft of personal and government property and providing false statements, according to a Justice Department news release. He is accused of committing the crimes from March 2022 to July 2023, when he served in both the field office’s criminal violent gang and counterterrorism squads, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. Williams did not have a defense attorney listed in court documents as of Wednesday afternoon.
