Since Ryan Gosling’s live performance of “I’m Just Ken” at the Oscars was announced, the internet speculated what the performance would look like, who would be performing, how the public would react and overall, just how iconic this performance could be.
During — and after — Sunday’s show, the internet agreed that Gosling’s Oscar performance was one of a lifetime.
The song written and produced by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt for Barbie was nominated for Best Original Song next to another Barbie song, “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish and Finneas. The latter duo snagged the award and became the two youngest two-time winners in Academy Awards history, after winning the Oscar for their James Bond song “No Time to Die” in 2022.
